The camera firmware upgrade is a delicate process. If the camera is suddenly turned off or if it losses internet connection while upgrading, it could cause internal errors in the memory. If you found that after a firmware upgrade you cannot find the camera in the Shepherd, please check if the GREEN LED lights to check camera network connectivity.

If the GREEN LED is still blinking that means that the camera can be accessed from the internet. In that case please do the following:
Step 1. Check the camera MAC address, you can find the MAC address in the camera box package or in the sticker attached to it.
Step 2. Open the windows command console (cmd.exe).
Step 3. Type the following command:
Step 4. A list of devices will appear, check if the camera MAC address appears in the list:
Step 5. Using the IP the camera, use the following command in the browser:
http://<CAM IP>/cgi-bin/admin/setparam.cgi?system_restoreexceptnet=1
Note: This command will restore the camera to its factory state.
If after sending the command you still can’t access the camera, please use the recovery mode function in the camera. Please follow the next instructions to enter Recovery mode:
(1) Power off the camera.
(2) Press and hold down the reset button.
(3) Power on the camera, the Red LED will start blinking rapidly.
(4) After 1 minute, release the reset button.
(5) The firmware will be sorted out.
If after using the recovery mode the camera still cannot be accessed, it will need to be sent back for repairs.
