If you need to be notified of certain activities, such as VCA events or device statuses, you will need to configure them in the "Alarm management" section. You can access the "Alarm management" by accessing the System configuration and clicking on the "Alarm management" tab.
Once you have access the alarm interface, the configuration of an alarm is very straight forward. First, click on the "Add alarm" button to crate an alarm instance:
First, you need to choose events for which you would like to receive notifications (multiple selections are allowed). To receive device events, you must first configure them in the camera settings. For example, if you want to receive notifications for line crossing detection, ensure that you have set that rule in the camera settings.
Once all the event required have been selected, choose the devices from which you want to receive notifications by clicking on the "Select devices" button.
This will show a complete list of all devices available for selection. Select the one you require and go to the next step.
There are several actions that can be configured:
- Mobile notification: Sending a message to your phone.
- Send email: Send an email notification to a specific mail address.
- Digital output: Trigger a digital output of a specific camera.
- Webhook: Send a HTTP request to a specific server.
- Audio deterrent: Send audio to a network speaker.
