Keeping your VIVOTEK camera up-to-date with the latest firmware is crucial for security and performance. This article provides a simple, step-by-step guide to help you upgrade the firmware of your VIVOTEK camera.
Step 1. Visit the VIVOTEK website and use the search function to find your camera model.

Step 2. Go to the "Download" section in the camera web page and download the firmware file.
The file will be stored using "zip" format.
Step 3. Extract the file from within the "zip" file and copy it to an accessible location.
Step 4. Ensure your computer and camera are connected to the same network.
Step 5. Open a web browser and enter the camera’s IP address. Log in with your camera's credentials. Then, access the configuration section and navigate to System > Maintenance.
Step 6. In the "Upgrade firmware" section, click on the "Choose File" button and select the previously extracted firmware file.
Then, click on the "Upgrade" button to initiate the upgrade process.
The upgrade procedure will start automatically. Once finished, the device will reboot automatically.
