Microsoft Windows records all hardware, software, and system issues in an event logger. These logs can be viewed using the Windows Event Viewer. To access the Event Viewer, please follow these steps:
1. Open the Start menu and type 'Event Viewer.'
You can also access the Event Viewer through the Control Panel. Navigate to 'System & Security' > 'Administrative Tools.'
2. In the Event Viewer, expand the folder tree and select 'Windows Logs' > 'Application.'
3. Check for any errors listed in the viewer. If you have experienced a crash with VAST Security Station, the error should be visible in the log (refer to the image below).
These errors will indicate not only the time of the issue but also which specific application/module was affected.
4. Select the relevant log and click on 'Save Selected Events...' to save the error log.
5. Please provide the exported event log to Technical Support for further analysis.
