After updating Milestone VMS or camera firmware, clearing the cache can prevent potential conflicts between cached data and the new software versions. This helps in ensuring compatibility and functionality post-update. To clear the Milestone cache, please follow the next steps:
1. Stop the Milestone Recording Server.
2. Rename all files in C:\ProgramData\Milestone\XProtect Recording Server\Offline that are offline.
3. Rename the driver cache located in C:\ProgramData\Milestone\XProtect Recording Server\DriverCache\NativeDrivers.
4. Rename C_ to C_old in C:\ProgramData\VideoDeviceDrivers.
5. Restart the Milestone Recording Server.
