Is there a way to know in advance how many days the hard drive can be used for recording?

Answer

Yes, starting from VSS version 1.2, the Dashboard displays the status of the recording space. In order to access the VSS dashboard, click on the application icon and select "Dashboard".

The interface will show the total hard disk capacity and usage, the number of days currently recorded, and an estimate of how many more days can be recorded based on the previous day's recording volume and the remaining available space. For example, the picture below shows eight days of recorded footage and predicts that there is enough space to record for an additional 1135 days based on the previous day's recording volume.
