A MAC address in a VIVOTEK camera is a unique identifier assigned to its network interface. When requesting technical support, this information must be provided to allow Technical Engineers to register it in the system. There are several methods to obtain the MAC address of your VIVOTEK device. Please follow the steps below to check both the model name and the MAC address of your camera:
System Parameters
The camera system parameters contain all system information of your device, including its MAC address. To access this page, you need to go to the camera configuration page. Then, click on 'System' > 'Parameters' and look for the following parameter: system_info_serialnumber.
Camera Sticker
Every single camera has its own identifying sticker, you can find the device MAC address printed on it.
Shepherd Application
If you know the camera's IP address, you can use the Shepherd application to locate it. Simply enter the camera's IP address, and the application will search for it on the network. Once found, it will display all the basic information of the device, including its MAC address.
VAST Security Station
If the camera has been added to VAST2 or the VAST Security Station, you can navigate to 'Settings' > 'Device Management' > 'Cameras', select the camera you wish to check, and view its MAC address.
ND Series (Linux NVR)
If the camera has been added to an ND Series Linux NVR, you can go to 'Camera' > 'Management' and click on the device. Then, check the 'MAC' parameter to find the camera's MAC address.
