The server status report and the configuration file from a VIVOTEK camera are critical for troubleshooting and maintaining the camera's performance. The server status report provides real-time insights into the camera's operational status, helping identify issues related to system performance or failures. The configuration file contains all the camera settings, useful for restoring setups after updates or failures, ensuring consistency across multiple units, and aiding technical support in diagnosing issues quickly.
In order to get those files, please follow the following steps:
1. Using a web browser, log into the camera by entering its IP address in the address bar.
2. Once logged in, go to Configuration > System > Maintenance > Import/Export files.
3. Click on the Export button to save the server status report and the configuration file locally on your computer.
4. Once finished, provide both files to your Technical Support representative for analysis.
Note: Remember to provide the password of the root account at the same time when providing the configuration file.
