Question
Why doesn’t the boot menu appear during the system startup process when entering Windows OS on the NR9581-V3/NR9682-V3, as shown in the picture below?
The boot menu provides four options (Enter NVR, Restore to default, Reboot, Shutdown) for users to select during the boot process.
Answer
By default, our BIOS is configured to use NVR Boot Manager as the first boot priority.
However, many users manually change the BIOS settings and set Windows Boot Manager as the first boot option.
In this situation, the boot menu will not appear during the Windows startup process for users to make a selection.
Please follow the steps below to set NVR Boot Manager as the first boot priority.
Step 1. Select the item "UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS priorities".
Step 2. Choose the NVR Boot Manager as boot option #1.
Step 3. Press the “ESC” hotkey to return to the Fixed Boot Order Priorities menu, and check whether Boot Option #1 has been changed to NVR Boot Manager.
Step 4. Press the “F4” function key to save the BIOS settings once Boot Option #1 has been changed to NVR Boot Manager. The picture below is the function key list.
Step 5. After completing the above steps, you will see the boot menu appear during the system startup process.
