QUESTION
Why does the switch return to the default date/time: "2017/01/01 00: 00: 00" after reboot?
ANSWER
It is current desigin limitation. The POE switch would not save the time in the memory, so the date and time may return to default value after reboot.
In order to make POE switch have up to date time, we would suggest users to configure the NTP server by following steps as below:
1. Go into System > System time > Configure NTP Server

2. Key in the NTP server address you are used to use and apply it.
Then, you can see the Save Configuration button turn blue. Click the Save Configuration button
Please make sure the switch is able to connect to the NTP server. If you use the NTP server which is on the Internet, your switch must connect to the Internet as well.
Also, if you key in the NTP server domain name instead of IP address, please check the switch has correct DNS server setting to resolve the domain name, or the switch will not be able to sync the time via NTP server.
