Question
Answer
The ST7501 can be upgraded to VAST but it is required that the software installed in the HOST PC uses version 1.10 or above. Note: if the ST7501 is 1.9 or lower, we strongly suggest uninstalling the ST7501 and install the VAST software from zero, otherwise you may find some configuration issues due to some major changes made in internal modules. If you decide to unistall, the software will ask you if you want to delete all the recording files, please select "No".
If your version is 1.10 or above, please follow the next steps to upgrade to VAST:
Step 1. For security reasons, please export the ST7501 configuration using the Import/Export configuration tool.
Please be sure to take remember which version was being using at the beginning of the process.
Step 2. Upgrade your ST7501 to the latest 1.11 version
ftp://fae:fae@ftp.vivotek.com/software/ST7501/ST7501_1.11.0.101/ST7501_1.11.0.101_setup.exe
If you already have installed this version, you can skip to the next step.
Step 3. Upgrade using the same version denomination in the VAST (ver 1.11.0.101)
ftp://fae:fae@ftp.vivotek.com/software/VAST/VAST_1.11.0.101/VAST_1.11.0.101_setup.exe
Note: you MUST use the same version, otherwise the data won't be transposed to the new system correctly.
Step 4. Install the VAST latest version released.
