VAST/VAST2 cannot deal with the wrong information brought by some cameras with firmware 0x20b(c)_SA2019002, thus causing recording server to crash. there are three ways to solve the problem:
1. Replace the DataBroker.dll file by v6.7.0.1 in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\VIVOTEK Inc\VAST\Server . Please refer to the following steps:
a. Please download the Databroker.dll from the link: ftp://fae:fae@ftp.vivotek.com/software/VAST2/2.5.0.6666_patch_recording_server_crash/DataBroker.dll
b. Stop VAST service.
c. Rename the original Databroker.dll to Databroker_old.dll in the path where you install your VAST, for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\VIVOTEK Inc\VAST\Server .
d. Put attached Databroker.dll in the above path.
e. Restart VAST service
2. Downgrade the camera to 0x13, 0x17.
3. Upgrade VAST2 to 2.6 because it contains this file by default.
