Question
How to change SSL certificate in the VAST/VAST2 software?
Answer
In some cases, you may need to replace the default SSL certification used by the VAST/VAST2 to let your firewall allow communications from your server to other devices in the network. To do that please follow the next steps:
Step 1. Stop the VAST/VAST2 service. You can do this by opening the VMSServiceControl or by right clicking on the service control tray icon in the Windows task bar.

Note: Stopping the service will also stop the video LiveView and recording services.
Step 2. Go to the VAST stunnel installation folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\VIVOTEK Inc\sTunnel. Then, use an editor of your preference to edit the "stunnel.pem" file.

Step 4. Save the changes and restart the VMS service.

Note: We strongly suggest making a security copy of the stunnel.pem file in case you want to go back to the original SSL certificate scheme.
Step 3. In the editor, replace the default private key and certificate contained in the file with your own private key and certificate.VMSServiceControl
