Question
Why does VAST redundant server take long time to start recording in NAS?
Answer
1. When redundant or active server is up, it will repair the recordings of last day first and then start recording.
For example, 5/11 had recordings and 5/12~5/14 had no recordings. When 5/15 server is up, it will repair the recordings of 5/11 first.
2. Server will repair both of recordings and database.
3. If the recordings are stored in local, it will not take time to do repair when redundant server is up.
4. If the recordings are stored in NAS, it will take time to do repair when redundant server is up.
The time depends on network bandwidth and NAS hardware performance.
