Question
What to do if I fail adding newer VIVOTEK cameras to Exacqvision
Answer
VIVOTEK cameras recently increased security protocol in the latest firmware which might cause communication issues with Exacqvision or other ONVIF based servers, specially in overcrowded network environments (will trigger security protocols). To avoid this issue, please try the following:
1. Disable CSRF protection
Access the camera configuration web interface and then go to Security > Miscellaneous. Then, disable the CSRF function.
2. Change RTSP and HTTP authentication to "Basic"
Access the camera configuration web interface and then go to Network > Streaming Protocols and set the “Authentication” to Basic for both HTTP and RTSP.

3. Ensure network stability
Ensure that the network environment is stable and not overloaded, as instability might result in packet loss or fragmentation, which will trigger the camera's internal security protocols.
