The MAC address a unique hardware identifier used to distinguish each device in a network. Every VIVOTEK NVR has a MAC address and can usually be found in the bottom sticker in the device chassis and in the device packaging.
The MAC of a NVR device can also be found using the Shepherd search function:

If the device is installed in a remote place with limited access are you are unable to check the sticker in the NVR or use the Shepherd application but you have access to the NVR access URL you can use a CGI command to get the MAC information. To do so, please follow the next steps:
Step 1. Log into the NVR device using its username and password:
Step 2. In the URL bar, type the following command and press "Enter":
http://<NVR_IP>/cgi-bin/admin/getparam.cgi?system_info_serialnumber
Where <NVR_IP> is the NVR's IP address
The NVR will reply a message showing the MAC information:
