What to do if VAST2 displays an 'Exceed License' error after removing and adding a new camera
Answer
In VAST 2, it's possible to partially delete cameras, but VAST 2 may still consider them as added in terms of licenses. To fix this error please follow the next steps:
Step 1. In de device manager interface, click the pencil icon shown above the device tree.
Step 2. Click the server icon with the yellow dot.
Step 3. Select the camera(s) that are shown in the "Ungroup devices" tab.
Then, click the folder icon and choose the main folder (the default is VMS_Station).
Now, try to delete the device again but when you delete the camera, ensure the 'Also delete permanently' checkbox is checked.
This action should completely remove the camera, allowing you to free up license spaces.
