What should I do when the NVR power LED is on but status LED does not light up?

Answer

After powering on the NVR, the Power LED should remain constantly lit. When the Status LED turns solid green, the system is ready for use.

The LED indicator definitions are as follows:

Power LED

• On - The NVR is powered on.
• Off - The NVR is powered off.

Status LED

• Solid Green – System is ready.
• Blinking Green (every 1 second) – Firmware or device pack is being updated.
• Solid Red – HDD status is abnormal.

NET LED

• Blinking Amber - Data is being transmitted or received.
• Off - Ethernet uplink is disconnected.

If the Power LED is on but the Status LED remains off, this may indicate a potential hardware issue with the device.

Before proceeding with the RMA process, please perform the following steps to verify whether the issue is hardware-related:

1. Press and hold the hardware reset button about 5-10 seconds until the Power LED starts flashing.

2. Wait for approximately 2-3 minutes. The Status LED should begin blinking afterward.

If the Status LED remains off after performing the above procedure, the device is likely experiencing a hardware failure. Please send the device back for further inspection and repair.
